SleepImage and Gabi SmartCare have signed a Letter of Intent to collaborate on improving pediatricians’ and parents’ access to home sleep assessment for children.
Bogi Palsson, CEO of SleepImage, states, “We believe understanding and fostering a child’s sleep health should be part of standard pediatric care. The company was founded to improve the sleep assessment tools available to pediatricians. The companies envision using Gabi’s FDA-cleared, home-based monitoring platform to collect data. The data will then be analyzed by SleepImage’s software-as-a-medical-device (SaMD), which is FDA-cleared to aid healthcare professionals in the evaluation, diagnosis and management of sleep disorders for children.
