New Parameter: Hypoxic Burden
In addition, we have provided a new metric – Hypoxic Burden1, which provides alternative measures that better and more precisely risk stratify individuals with OSA are being developed for treatment decisions and risk assessment.
- Informed Treatment Decisions: by showing how deep and long the periods of low oxygen are, physicians can have a better prediction of cardiovascular events, heart failure, and all-cause mortality than AHI.
- More Accurate Risk Assessment – helps differentiate patients who are at higher risk for complications, even if their AHI score is low, leading to more personalized clinical decisions.
