Daybreak Names Robert Miller As First Senior Vice President of Commercial Strategy

Daybreak, one of the leading providers of fully at-home sleep apnea diagnosis and treatment, today announces the appointment of Robert Miller, RPSGT, as its new Senior Vice President of Commercial Strategy. The appointment marks a pivotal next step as the company expands its national presence and deepens its dedication to transforming how obstructive sleep apnea is tested and treated through cutting-edge technology and patient-centric solutions.

Initially connecting with Daybreak as a patient, Robert now brings more than 30 years of deep expertise in the sleep and respiratory healthcare space. As a registered polysomnographic technologist, he offers a rare dual perspective, understanding both the lived experience of undergoing sleep-disorder diagnostics and the clinical collaboration required to identify and manage conditions such as obstructive sleep apnea.

“Robert’s relationship with Daybreak began as a patient, providing him with a unique and personal understanding of our mission and the lives we impact,” says Daybreak Co-Founder, Wesley Lones. “We are delighted to welcome him to our senior leadership team, where his expertise and perspective will be instrumental in advancing the continued growth of our commercial medical division.”

Prior to Daybreak, Miller played a pivotal role in leading operations and business development for major players in the sleep industry, including MedBridge and, most recently, Apria, where he served as Vice President of Sleep and Respiratory Business.

“My own journey—using GLP-1 therapy to improve health, then discovering lasting relief with an oral appliance—has shown me firsthand how integrated, patient-centric solutions can change lives. Daybreak’s innovative approach empowers undiagnosed patients and those intolerant to PAP therapy with accessible, effective alternatives that truly improve outcomes,” said Miller. “The sleep apnea therapy landscape is evolving rapidly, with exciting advancements in pharmaceuticals and surgical options. I’m eager to drive Daybreak’s commercial growth, ensuring more patients discover the rest they deserve.”

Miller’s influence extends far beyond his leadership roles, co-hosting the industry-leading podcast SleepTech Talk, where he regularly explores emerging trends and breakthroughs shaping the future of sleep. He also maintains a strong professional presence with over 25,000 LinkedIn followers and more than one million annual post impressions, establishing him as a trusted voice in sleep health.

This appointment propels Daybreak’s mission to modernize obstructive sleep apnea testing and treatment, aligning seamlessly with Miller’s commitment to advancing sleep medicine and passion for innovation through technology and patient-centric care.
