sovaSage Introduces AI-Powered Clinical Indicator Intelligence™ to Advance PAP Patient Management

sovaSage™ announced the new release of Clinical Indicator Intelligence, an enhanced feature within sovaGuide™ featuring Jeanie™. Using machine learning, the new capability continuously analyzes multiple PAP therapy variables to help providers identify patients who may require additional clinical evaluation before therapy challenges lead to reduced benefit or treatment abandonment.

The enhancement improves identification of patients experiencing elevated central apnea events and other therapy patterns that may indicate reduced treatment effectiveness. Elevated PAP pressure alone does not generate a Clinical Indicator notification. Instead, sovaGuide evaluates pressure alongside additional therapy variables to provide a more comprehensive assessment of therapy performance.

Each Clinical Indicator notification includes a detailed therapy summary and longitudinal usage history sourced directly from the PAP manufacturer’s clinical management software, giving providers immediate access to the clinical data supporting each notification.

“Patient engagement alone isn’t always enough,” said William Kaigler, CEO of sovaSage. “Some patients remain engaged but continue to struggle because their therapy is not achieving the desired clinical outcome. Clinical Indicator Intelligence helps providers recognize these patients earlier, allowing support before frustration leads to therapy discontinuation.”

The feature is designed to support—not replace—clinical judgment. All treatment decisions and patient management remain the responsibility of the treating healthcare provider.

“Our mission has always been to combine artificial intelligence with behavioral science and clinical insight to improve patient outcomes,” added Kaigler. “Clinical Indicator Intelligence represents another step toward delivering smarter, more proactive care that supports both providers and the patients they serve.”
